In today’s post I’m sharing how to make a tri fold gift card holder using flip flaps. Flip flaps are intended to be used when you scrapbook but there are several other ways to use them. Today I’m sharing just one of them.
For another way to use flip flaps, check out this post.
Measurements:
- White Willow: 5-1/2″ x 12″ scored at 4″ and 8″; 3″ x 4″ and die cut the second smallest and narrow rectangles.
- Early Espresso: 3-1/2″ x 5″
- Pecan Pie: 3-3/8″ x 4-3/8″ and 2-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ die cut with the spotlight on nature dies
- Old Olive: 2″ x 3″ die cut leaf (Thankful Gardens)
- Woven Textures DSP: 3-3/8″ x 4-7/8″; 3″ x 4″ and 1/2″ x 1″ (x2)
- 3″ x 4″ flip flap
- White Ribbon: 4″
- Linen Thread: 24″
- Matte Dots: x5
Let’s take a closer look…
When you open the flap this is what you see. I used two of current favourite sets – Elements of Text and Textured Notes for the stamping. I love that all three greetings in the Textured Notes set can be used together or independently.
When you open that second flap, it reveals the flip flap, which lifts up or out, depending on where the adhesive is on the flip flap.
You can find a video walking you through making this card below.
