Welcome to the Scrapbooking Global April 2025 blog hop. Thank you so much for joining us. This month our challenge was to stamp our own pattern paper.
As part of the Scrapbooking Global design team we participate in a monthly blog hop and challenges but anyone can join in if they’d like. We’d love to have you join us! Be sure to join the Scrapbooking Global – Stampin’ Up! Facebook Group so you know when the sign up starts for our next hop and for more scrapbooking inspiration!
Let’s take a look…
To create my pattern paper I decided to do a bit more than just stamp on it. I added a bit of ink blending and some paper piercing.
To begin with I created three stencils by cutting out different sized Stylish Shapes circles from some scrap card stock. Then I assigned an ink colour to each size… Crumb Cake to the largest; Pretty in Pink to the middle size and Daffodil Delight to the smallest. I used blending brushes to add the ink.
Once I was happy with the circles, I chose a couple of the images from the stamp set that comes in the Heirloom Arrangements kit and stamped those. The grid pattern in Crumb Cake and the butterfly in Daffodil Delight. After that was done, I still felt it needed something so I grabbed my Take Your Pick Tool and Stampin’ Pierce Mat and added a little detail around some of the largest circles.
Here’s a look at the pattern paper once complete.
You’ll notice that I chose not to fill the entire sheet with the pattern. I left the bottom 1/4 as a place for your eye to rest.
The white was then trimmed down to 11-5/8″ square and mounted onto a piece of 12×12 Crumb Cake card stock, which I gutted first. This provides me with extra card stock that I then used to mat my photos.
The embellishment clusters came together so quickly thanks to the Heirloom Arrangements kit. I selected a few pieces that I had leftover, added in a few die cut pieces from the Gallery Blooms dies (to be released May 6th) and a bit of twine and they were done.

If you like this layout, be sure to check out the Heirloom Arrangements Scrapbook Layout tutorial in my shop where I share how you can take the Heirloom Arrangements kit and create 3 two-page layouts and 2 single page layouts (the layout in this post being one of them). That’s 5 scrapbook layouts from the one card kit! And all you need are a few additional supplies.
Until next time,
