Today’s post is for the book lovers out there. Are you a reader? I’m an avid reader and was so excited to see a book themed bundle in Stampin’ Up!’s January to April mini catalogue.
Before Christmas I was playing around with the book treat boxes (you can see what I created in this post) and came up with the idea to create a little book shelf to add to a reading themed tiered tray I’m working on. Here’s what I came up with.
I cut out a window from the treat box using one of the rectangle dies from the Nested Essentials dies and then use a scrap piece of a window sheet to add little shelves inside for the books and the plant. This video walks you through a project similar to this one.
The flap for the treat box was a little long and stuck into the window area so I trimmed it so it lined up with the frame. This is going to be perfect on my tiered tray!
I had the leftover rectangle sitting on my desk so decided to make a coordinating card. Because all the supplies were out, I stuck with the same colour combination of lost lagoon, copper clay and wild wheat.
