Today I’m sharing a card idea using Stampin’ Up!’s terrific toadstools bundle. You’ll be seeing lots of projects using this bundle over the next few weeks as I share some of the projects I created for my recent Creative Carnival display.
For this project I wanted to combine this fun bundle with my current favourite – the everyday arches dies. I decided to use the arches to create a frame, almost like a window frame and then added a plant box to the bottom with some mushrooms growing in it. I’m so happy with the way it turned out.
Measurements:
- Thick Basic White: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″
- Gray Granite: 3-3/4″ x 5″ embossed with the exposed brick embossing folder; 3-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ die cut with the 4th and 5th largest everyday arch dies to create the arch frame.
- Pebbled Path: 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″
- Toadstool Garden DSP: woodgrain pattern 5/8″ x 3-1/8″ and 3/8″ x 3-1/2″
- Basic White: 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ for stamping
- White Twine: 8″
- Textured Dots: x3
Instructions:
- Distress the edges of the embossed layer of card stock using your paper snips.
- Add this to the pebbled path layer and that to the thick white card base.
- Add ink around the edges of the arch frame using a finger dauber and pebbled path ink. Trim off the bottom so that it’s about 3-1/2″ tall. Add dimensionals and add it to the card front.
- Use pebbled path to ink the edges of the two pieces of woodgrain pattern paper. Attach them together and add them to the card front using dimensionals.
- Stamp mushrooms in desired colours and punch/fussy cut. I used cajun craze for the largest and smallest mushroom, wild wheat for the middle size and gray granite for the stems.
- Assemble toadstools and add them to the card front using dimensionals.
- Stamp the leaf using old olive and fussy cut. Add it to the card front, tucking it behind the planters box.
- Stamp several of the two stem images in old olive ink. Some first generation old olive and some stamped off. Fussy cut them all and tuck them into the planters box.
- Add a baker’s twine bow and 3 textured dots.
I hope you enjoyed todays card idea using Stampin’ Up!’s terrific toadstools bundle. If you’re looking for more inspiration using this bundle, check out these blog posts:
