In today’s post I’m sharing a Hearts for You Paper Pumpkin alternative – a scrapbook layout. I’ve used the contents of the January 2025 Paper Pumpkin kit, along with a few other supplies to create this layout. I say it every month when my kit arrives, Paper Pumpkin makes creating layouts so quick & easy!
When my kit arrives each month I usually create one of each of the projects to familiarize myself with the contents of the kit. The next project I create is a scrapbook layout, which is what I’m sharing today. This year I’ve added in the challenge to use up the rest of the kit contents before the end of the month. It’s been fun!
This months kit includes all the supplies to create 9 beautiful love themed cards (3 each of 3 designs). Here’s a look at them.
If you are new to Stampin’ Up! and wondering what Paper Pumpkin is? It is the BEST crafting subscription kit!
Every month you receive a box full of crafty goodness. It includes everything you need to create whatever that months projects are (except scissors). That means you get an exclusive stamp set, ink, any embellishments and all the pre cut and scored pieces! Most months the projects are cards but occasionally there will be 3D projects or tags.
Don’t miss out on next months kit. If you’re in Canada, subscribe here, before the 10th of the month in order to receive the December kit. Here’s a hint at what’s to come.

Let’s take a look at this months layout…
The base of the layout is a piece of real red 12×12 card stock. I added a 7″ x 12″ piece of white card stock with a black border at the top and bottom of it, across the centre. The scallop border was created by inking the white die cut heart strips with some flirty flamingo ink. You can see how it’s done in the video below.
Before adhering the strip across the centre, I did a bit of stamping using a couple of the stamps from the elements of text stamp set. And splattering with the clear wink of stella for a bit of shimmer.
Most of the hearts were die cut from the card bases using the heart die from the Spring is in the Air dies. The rest were in this months kit. The stamped and gold embossed leaves were the perfect way to bring in a touch of gold up at the top of the layout.
You can see the whole process for this layout in the video linked above.
Until next time,
