In today’s post I’m sharing a fun way to use your circle dies. Something a little different. We often see circle dies layered on each other, getting smaller as you go us but what if we reversed this idea?
What if we use the negative space and the largest circle is at the top and gradually gets smaller?
I thought I’d give it a try. Here’s what I came up with.
Instructions:
- Use the 6th smallest deckled circle die to cut a circle from a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of pool party card stock.
- Emboss the pool party card stock using the crosshatch pattern folder from the Basics 3D EF pack.
- Use the 5th smallest deckled circle to cut a circle from the centre of a 3-1/2″ x 3-1/2″ piece of crushed curry card stock. Add that to the back of the pool party layer.
- Die cut the 4th smallest deckled circle from the centre of a 3-1/4″ x 3-1/4″ piece of azure afternoon card stock and add it behind the curry layer.
- To add a bit of pattern, back it with a 3″ x 3″ piece of pattern paper.
- Tie a bow from white twine and added it to the card.
- Fussy cut a couple of the littles from the pattern paper and add them to the card front using dimensionals.
- Stamp the greeting using memento ink. Flag the end and add it to the card front.
- Add your opaque faceted gems and you’re done!
But I couldn’t let those die cut circles go to waste! So I used them to create this adorable tag for a mini popcorn pouch! How sweet is this?!
