For this week’s scrap your stash layout I’m sharing this backyard TN layout where I documented the building of our deck and pergola. I had been putting of this layout because I wanted to include so many photos in such a small space but it ended up working really well.
This is a 2-page spread for my Citrus Twist Life Crafted album. I completed it at the crop that I was at this weekend and hadn’t planned out what I would use. Thankfully past me was organized and had tucked in some of these die cut elements, from a retired paper pack, with the photos. So it was just a matter of going through my scrap your stash kit to find a couple patterned papers to match.
I found a scrap of this grey triangular pattern paper (from CTMH) that was almost large enough. My solution was to mat it on some white and then add a border strip across the top. To pull in some of the green from the photos, i used some scraps from another retired paper pack.
To accommodate the four 2″ x 3″ photos and the journaling I wanted to include, I created a little waterfall. I have my journaling on the backs of each of the photos. It worked out perfectly!
A look back…
