In today’s post I’m sharing a few printed acetate card ideas. We’ve got this great product in the annual Stampin’ Up! catalogue called Gold Celebrations specialty dsp that is basically printed acetate. It’s gold on one side and silver on the back and so fun to work with.
I’ve shared a few other samples on my blog over the years, I’ll share them below.
The first idea I’m sharing for the printed acetate is to die cut it in various shapes and adding it to a project. It’s a nice subtle addition to your card.
Measurements:
- Pretty Peacock: 5-1/4″ x 10-1/2″ scored at 5-1/4″ and 2″ x 4″ for die cutting 2 stars
- Basic White: 5″ x 5″ ; 4-3/4″ x 4-3/4″ and 3/4″ x 5-1/8″
- Bright & Beautiful DSP: 4-5/8″ x 4-5/8″ ; 1-1/4″ x 5″ and 2-1/2″ square for die cutting the circle
- Gold Celebrations DSP: 3-1/4″ square
- Lemon Lime Twist: 1-1/4″ square
- White Twine: 8″
The second idea is to use it as a window to peek through to the inside of your card. This can be done with plain window sheets too but it’s so much more fun when it has pattern to it!
Measurements:
- Blueberry Bushel: 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″ cut 3″ off the bottom and then cut that 3″ piece at 1-1/2″
- Basic White: 4″ x 5-1/4″; 1/8″ x 4-1/4″ (x2) and 2-3/4″ x 4-1/4″ for stamping
- Lemon Lime Twist: 1″ x 4″
- Bright & Beautiful DSP: 1-1/2″ x 4-1/4″
- Gold Celebrations: 1-3/4″ x 4-1/4″
- Ribbon: 6″
- Gems: x2
Check out the video below to see how these two cards come together.
