Today’s memory keeping Monday post is a What a Year pocket page. I can’t believe that I’ve just begun creating with the What a Year Memories & More cards and it will soon be retired! It’s such a bright, cheerful kit. You can find some cards I created with it here.
Our family album this year is a smaller album (about 4″ x 8″). It’s been fun to play with a different size and I love that it’s a combination of full pages and pocket pages.
Step-by-Step Process
- For the page on the left I started with a white base and then added some pool party ink with a blending brush.
- Then I took the birthday greeting from the Your Biggest Fan stamp set and stamped it several times over the background with pool party ink.
- After tearing the short end of a scrap of pale papaya shimmer vellum I added that over top of the blended and stamped background.
- The 3″ x 4″ photo was added to the page along with the colourful striped strip from one of the 3″ x 4″ cards from the What a Year Memories & More card pack.
- I cut the word celebrate from one of the 4″ x 6″ cards and then added it over top.
- The last step was to add some of the acrylic stars that I had in my stash.
The right page came together really quickly. The top pocket is simply a 3″ x 4″ card with a word strip from my stash added on with dimensionals.
All of the items I used on this page are from the kit that I put together for my upcoming Scrap Your Stash class. I love creating kits from my stash and working with them. It’s fun to look through your collection of supplies and be reminded of what you have. You can find more information about the class here.
Until next time,
