For this weeks memory keeping post I thought I’d share an update of my snippets of my year memory box. In December of last year I found this little wooden box. I decided it would make a great memory box. A box to document some of the little things that happen over the year. So I painted it white and prettied it up a little.
I’ve been gradually adding things to it throughout the year to keep everything organized but hadn’t done a lot of documenting in a while. The last update I shared was this reel over on Instagram. It’s been awhile! I figured it was time.
Let’s take a look…
There are no rules for this box. I use whatever I want – it’s often retired product and scraps – and I love it!!! These cards are ones leftover from a retired Memories & More card pack. This is the front.
And the back.
I don’t hold myself to titles or journaling. It’s whatever I feel like doing when I sit down to craft.
I used this card to keep track of the books I read for the first 5 months of the year. There really are so many ways to document the little things.
This page is a little bigger – it’s about 5″ high instead of 4″. The great thing about the box is that it allows a little more flexibility than an album. Lots more retired product on this layout – some of it VERY old!
The background for this layout was a postcard I received from an online order. I kept it specifically to be used for a coffee layout!
This one is just a bunch of random scraps that I had in my scrap bit, some ephemera and wood elements left over from previous kits that I had received.
I’ve been having so much fun trying to get caught up so I can do a little flip through in the new year.
Until next time,
