Welcome to the Scrapbooking Global January 2022 blog hop. This months theme is ‘Creative Borders’. I can’t wait to see how everyone interpreted the theme.
As part of the Scrapbooking Global design team we participate in a monthly blog hop and challenges but anyone can join in if they’d like. We’d love to have you join us! Be sure to join the Scrapbooking Global – Stampin’ Up! Facebook Group so you know when the sign up starts for our next hop.
I chose to use the beautiful new Daffodil Dies to create a flower garden as my border.
Wouldn’t this make a fabulous Easter or Mother’s Day layout? Unfortunately, I didn’t have any photos to scrapbook from either of those occasions. I did, however, find a photo from my childhood to include on the layout.
I combined the Daffodil Dies with the grass dies from the Dandy Wishes Dies to create my border and love how it all came together. There’s just so much dimension on this layout I’m hoping you can tell from the photos.
The background paper, as well as the curry paper in the upper left is from the Daffodil Afternoon dsp pack which is an item that you can choose for free with a qualifying purchase during Sale-a-Bration. I think the contrast of the black border really finishes off the layout nicely.
Thanks so much for stopping by today. Be sure to head on over to Sharon Dalton’s blog to see what she created. Enjoy hopping along to see the beautiful projects that everyone else created!
Have a creative day!

What a beautiful garden of daffodils. Love the thin dark DSP border framing the base. Thanks for sharing!

Such a pretty boarder! Those daffodils pop! What a wonderful way to make something like school photos look special, I have trouble sometimes with my old school photos, but I love this idea. And as you said, this layout could be great for other themes too, well done! So beautiful.
