Today I’m going to share how to make a card folio using a single 8-1/2″ x 11″ piece of card stock and a couple scraps. After sharing the two stack, cut and shuffle ideas with you, I thought it would be fun to create a card holder for them so that they can be used as gifts.
If you missed those two posts, I’ve linked them below.
Here’s a look at the three versions I’ve made.
In this post I’m sharing the details on how to make the fall themed folio but the base of all three are the same. They are simply decorated differently.
Measurements:
- Crumb Cake: 8-1/2″ x 11″ and 1-3/4″ x 1-1/2″ (x2)
- Early Espresso: 4-5/8″ x 6-1/8″
- Copper Clay: 1″ x 6″ embossed using the Distressed Tile EF and scrap for stamping leaves
- Old Olive: 3″ x 4″ for die cutting leaf and template
- All About Autumn DSP: 3-1/2″ x 6″
- Copper Clay Ribbon: 23″
- Crumb Cake Baker’s Twine: 6″
- Rustic Metallic Dots: x3
Here’s a look at the inside.
Scoring Measurements:
- Score the 8-1/2″ x 11″ piece of card stock at 5-1/4″ and 5-3/4″ along the 11″ side and 6-3/4″ and 7″ along the 8-1/2″ side.
- Score both of the 1-3/4″ x 1-1/2″ piece at 3/4″ from either end on the 1-3/4″ side.
To see how it’s done and find out how to assemble, check out the video linked below.
There are so many possibilities for this card folio. Here are photos of the other two that I shared in the video.
Here it is with the cards that are tucked inside.
Another Christmas version, made for the cards I created in this blog post.
And with the cards inside.
Until next time,
