I must admit that today’s layout is one of my favorites in a long time. Not only because the photo is adorable but because it’s different AND it uses up some of those long strips of pattern paper that we always seem to have left over. It feels so good to use up scraps!
To create this layout, I cut out a large heart using my Silhouette Cameo. You could draw a heart and cut it out of scrap paper too. You don’t need an e-cutter to do this. I chose a few strips of paper – some cardstock and some pattern paper – that coordinated, and used my fringe scissors to fringe each piece. Then, starting at the bottom of the heart, I attached the layers, making sure to overlap. After the heart was completely covered I trimmed off any excess. Then your heart is ready to add to your page base, which was a piece of whisper white cardstock in this case.
So many products that are retiring on this layout:( It makes me sad to see them go and want to put them to use before I get rid of them! I’ve included a full supply list at the bottom of this post but here are the items that are NOT carrying over:
- Bohemian DSP (#138446)
- Botanical Gardens DSP (#140583)
- Watermelon Ribbon (#140580)
- Memories in the Making stamp set (#140743)
- Larger Than Life Alphabet and Numbers (#135382)
- 1-1/4″ scallop circle punch (#127811)
- Little Letters Thinlits (#133730)
If you’d like to see the full list, you can see it here.
Have a creative day!
