I’ve combined my love for pocket pages with Stampin’ Up!’s Going Places collection to create this spread for Father’s Day. Nothing like planning ahead right?! I think pre-planing these layouts has helped me stay on top of my memory keeping. It’s an event we have coming up, I know I will be taking some photos and the Going Places collection was the perfect solution. I love this collection of items and must admit was sad to see it did not make it into the new catalogue. That means the paper, stamp set, and embossing folder are only available until May 31st or while supplies last:(
There are so many great patterns in the paper stack that I love. I used several of them here. The top right and center pockets also have overlays from the retired SAB Memories in the Making specialty card collection. I am loving these overlays, they just add a little pop to a photo or simple card. The background on the center card also uses the Timeless Textures stamp set. There’s a stamp in that set that I used around the edges of the cardstock to create a distressed look. I love it.
This particular pocket is just an assortment of papers put together, some ribbon and twine, and a couple stamped images. It was inspired by a card that was featured in our quarterly demonstrator magazine.
Again lots of layers on this card, a couple stamped images and then one of our wood words to focus on the celebration!
And here’s the traditional page. The dsp really does all the work here. A couple of the squares have been embossed to add a bit of texture.
I’m looking forward to adding photos to this layout. Father’s Day is still a ways away but it’s been added to my album and ready for photos! Feels great to work ahead.
If you love the Going Places Collection of products, you’ll love the projects in the Going Places Tutorial.
Have a creative day!
