Everyday You & Me Card Ideas

Bonus blog post this week with three everyday you & me card ideas and a couple techniques to try using our two tone card stock. Both the bundle and the two tone card stock can be found in our January to April scrapbooking brochure. I wanted to highlight a few of the items in this brochure to show you that it’s not just for scrapbookers!

Let’s take a closer look…

For this first card, I tore the two tone card stock to create a simple background on a white card base. This highlights both sides of the card stock and the white core. The thank you greeting is from the Everyday Greetings stamp set which is on the last chance list and discounted to $23.20, while supplies last.

Measurements:

• Thick Basic White: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″
• Pretty Peacock Two-Tone: 2″ x 5-1/2″
• Basic White: 2-3/4″ x 5-1/2″ for stamping

For the second card I shared how you can emboss the two tone card stock and then use a sanding block (or nail file) to sand off the raised part to reveal some of the white core. It really makes the embossed detail pop.

Measurements:

• Thick Basic White: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″
• Gray Granite Two Tone CS: 2-5/8″ x 4-1/4″ embossed with Cute Crochet EF and 3/4″ x 4″
• Basic White: 2-3/4″ x 5-1/2″ for stamping
• Twine: 18″
• Sequins: x3

The final card doesn’t include any of the two tone card stock but I did share a fun way that you can create a fun stamped frame around label shape. Another product that I’ll be sad to see go – the Greetings of the Season dies. These were also recently added to the last chance list and are discounted to $30.80 while supplies last.
