For this weeks memory keeping Monday post I thought I’d share a look at some of my December album layouts so far. For this yearly project I like to have my base pages all done before heading into the month of December. This allows me to just take a couple hours each week to add my photos and a bit of journaling.
This was a class I offered earlier this fall. If you missed it, you can find the tutorial here. If you live in Canada, I have a couple of kits left, if you’re interested in documenting your December memories. Just reach out and I can fill you in on the details.
Let’s take a look…
Here’s a closer look at some of the pages I shared in the video.
I added in the extra page with the 6×8 photo of our tree. One of the great things about a 6×8 ring album is the flexibility it offers if you’d like to add or rearrange pages.
Because I added in the 6×8 photo, I needed to add something to the back of that. Thankfully it worked out that I had a lot of photos for that day:)
I love all the pockets in this album. They are perfect for tucking in journaling, extra photos or maybe some memorabilia. This one holds my journaling.
You don’t always need to add photos. For day 10 I didn’t have any photos so I decided to document the Christmas books I’m reading throughout the month. At some point in the album I’ll also include the Christmas movies we watch.
And the last one for this round is a pocket with a photo and tag. I’m not sure I like the horizontal photo tucked into the pocket like this so I may attach it to the page so that it isn’t side ways. We’ll see.
I’m happy with the way things are coming along so far. I’ll definitely be back with a full flip through in January when the album is complete.
Until next time,
