Today I’m sharing a couple City Sights kit alternatives. I knew as soon as I saw this kit, it would be perfect for documenting our trip to New York!
Until October 31st, 2024 all our kits are on sale for up to 30% off! Now is a perfect time to grab a couple of them as gifts or to have on hand for a quick crafting fix! Kits are only available while supplies last so be sure to pick up what you’d like while they are still available.

Every Wednesday this month I’ll be focusing on a different kit to share just how fun and versatile they can be. Because the kits are only available while supplies last, there is a possibility that the kit I feature will be sold out by the time I share.
City Sights Kit
Make all-occasion cards with the City Sights Kit. Featuring artistic cityscape designs in neutral colours, this kit has a masculine charm, and is great for anyone dreaming of big city skylines. Craft like an artist using the different elements from this kit. It’s easy to wish a happy birthday or send a friendly note to a special someone!
Kit includes the supplies to create the 8 cards show above (4 each of 2 designs). But as mentioned I decided to scrapbook with it.
City Sights Alternatives
The first layout I did was a pocket page. This is a stand alone pocket page of our Top of the Rock visit. What a great place to see the city!
I cut apart one of the card fronts and used some of the same elements but on a 4″ x 4″ piece instead of a card front. The stamps came in handy to add a bit more interest to a few other 4″ x 4″ squares and on the embossed copper piece. In addition to many of the elements from the kit, I also used a Color Cast Studios acrylic piece, some die cut pieces from the Let’s Go Anywhere collection from CTMH and the Excursions stamp set from Citrus Twist.
Ground Zero Layout
I also created this page. To create the border, I fussy cut a couple of the card fronts with the painted city scape. Then I used the city scape stamp to stamp it onto a piece of gray granite card stock and one of the envelopes that I opened up. All of them were fussy cut and then pieced together to go across the 12×12.
I didn’t want it to be lined up at the bottom of the page so I left a bit of a gap and then filled it in with a piece of stamped gray granite card stock. Then finished it off by covering the seam with a 1/4″ strip of gray granite card stock. I’m super happy with the way this turned out.
I ended up creating a coordinating page for the right hand side – another pocket page.
In addition to the stamped city scrape, I used the Autumn to Remember stamp set to stamp the word ‘remember’ and the border across the copper card stock. I still need to add my journaling, and a title on the right page, but I really want to think about what I’d like to say for this layout. It’s such an emotional place to visit.
I hope you enjoyed these City Sights kit alternatives. Until next time,
