Last weekend we had our We CAN Stamp meeting in Millet. This is a great event that Christy Harsch holds 5 times a year for all levels of her downline. It is a fun afternoon of make & takes, swaps, lots and lots of samples and demonstrations. Definitely an event where you don’t want to forget to bring your camera. If you are interested in attending the next one with me in May, let me know. I’d love to bring you as a guest!
This was one of the make & takes we made – isn’t it gorgeous. It was designed by Lorna Raczynski. I love the strips of green cardstock curled and tucked under the flower. Such a nice touch!
Tip #1: Cut a strip of peach parfait cardstock, stamp your leaves and then slide the cardstock into the punch from the right hand side (when the punch is turned over). Punch the first petal and then snip the negative space and move on to the next petal. By doing this, you will waste less cardstock and not end up with so many little pieces of cardstock.
Tip #2: Punch a circle (1-1/4″ or 1-3/8″ works) and then add a bit of adhesive to it. Add your petals to the circle to form your flower. Then insert the brad.
Tip #3: For the leaves – ink the solid image with pear pizzazz, stamp off onto scrap paper, then stamp onto a piece of whisper white. Then ink the outline leaf image with pear pizzazz and stamp directly over top of the solid image. This will give you the two tone look!
Hope you enjoyed todays project, thanks for stopping by!
