Welcome to the monthly APPT blog hop where we will showcase alternate projects using the February 2025 Hello Spring Paper Pumpkin kit. Check out the projects I created using this kit and then hop along to all the other blogs for additional creative ideas.
For those of you not familiar with Paper Pumpkin kits, they are a subscription kit that gets delivered right to you. Inside are all the supplies you need AND directions for assembling the projects for that month.
I love to scrapbook using the monthly kits. Shortly after my kit arrived, I shared this layout using the February kit, today I’ve got a a few cards and a 2-page layout for my 6×8 album to share with you.
Let’s start with the layout…
For this 6×8 2-page layout, I used scraps that I had leftover from my last crafting session using this kit. I love the basic beige background with the pop of old olive pattern paper. To add a bit of interest i stamped the dotted stamp with basic beige ink onto the basic beige card stock and distressed the edges of almost everything.
The title is a combination of things – the ‘nothing’s better than’ is from the More than Autumn stamp set; the word ‘time’ is stamped using an alphabet set from my stash and ‘together’ is from the Everyday You & Me stamp set.
Card Ideas
For this first card I cut apart the basic beige card base and then tore the upper right corner. I wanted to add in a pop of that fabulous green dsp so I added a scrap behind the torn corner. Then added it to a couple layers of basic beige card stock and finished it off with some of the bits and pieces from the kit.
I wanted a more generic greeting so chose ‘for you’ from the Keeping Tabs stamp set. And then hit up my stash for these cork embellishments (long ago retired).
Similar layers were used for this next card, the biggest difference is that I used one of the ephemera pieces and popped up on one of the tags in the kit after adding twine behind it.
I had some scraps left from one of the lost lagoon card bases so layered them on a card front and then added 3 of the ephemera pieces, the diagonal striped piece and one of the circle tags. The distressed edges add a nice bit of texture to this card.
And the final card was created to use up the leftover pieces. I’m happy to say that the kit is done and I’m looking forward to next months!
