I hope you had a great weekend! I must say that I am happy that spring break is over and we can get back into a routine. I have a bunch of running around to do this morning and then need to hit my studio and get caught up on everything that didn’t get done last week while the kids were home. I’m hoping that it will be a productive day. Sometimes when I have so much to do, I just get lost and go from one thing to another and then end up accomplishing nothing – do you ever get like that?
We CAN Stamp Project
My project today is another one we did at our We CAN Stamp meeting back in March. It is a similar card to one that was done at Convention last year. This was the first time I used the fabric covered brads. Can you believe that I’ve had them sitting here for almost 3 months and haven’t used them yet. They are so cute! I need to use them before they aren’t available anymore! That will be my challenge for this week – to create a project using the fabric brads. Stay tuned…
Back to the card, I love how the front of this card is smaller than the back, with the flower hanging over the edge and the pattern paper poking out from the inside of the card.
Tip: To create this look cut your card base to 5-1/2″x7-1/4″ and score it at 3″. The pattern paper is cut to 1-1/2″x5-1/2″ and then attached to the right side of the inside panel.
Tip: Use sticky strip and wrap it around a 1″ circle, insert fabric brad and then wrap your pompom trim around the brad, sticking it to the sticky strip.
Tip: The leaf is the wing from the two-step bird punch. Love this style of card, I may have to play around with it and see what I can come up with! Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!
