We have a busy day ahead of us today. The kids and I are heading to Marcels cousins place to make Butterhorns with his auntie Joanne, who is the BEST butterhorn maker ever, and is up for the week from Medicine Hat! Looking forward to spending some time with several of his family members. After that I will drop off the kids at my Mom and Dads place and head over to my Winonas (my upline) for some digital scrapbooking. I’ve got a soccer album for Jordyn that I’m hoping to get started on – it is long overdue!
Todays project is another one that we made at the Millet We CAN Stamp meeting a week or so ago. I love the color combination on this card – So Saffron, Poppy Parade and Baja Breeze. This one was designed by Kathy House.
This card measures 3″x6″ and fits into our small open end envelopes. Here are a few tips & tricks:
Tip #1: Before folding cardstock down the center, run it through the Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper impressions folder in the center of the cardstock. This will give you texture on the top half of the card in the front and back. Such a nice touch!
Tip #2: Scallop rectangle is cut using the Big Shot and the scallop rectangle clearlit die (118872).
Tip #3: If you don’t own the Poppy Parade marker, ink the entire image using the Poppy Parade ink pad, then use a blender pen to remove the ink from either leaves and stem. Now use the Old Olive marker to fill in the stem and leaves. Just be sure that your blender pen is clean prior to removing the ink.
