Hope everyone had a great weekend! We are enjoying our spring break this week and have been having lots of quality family time. Last night we spent our entire dinner talking about funny stories that we remember and then all four of us snuggled on the couch under blankets and spent a good hour or more, looking through scrapbooks and photo albums and reminiscing. We laughed so hard, it was lots of fun and brought back so many great memories.
I love that my kids enjoy looking through their scrapbooks and that it reminds them of different events that happened in their lives. It is so important to document those memories, you think that you will never forget but you do. It’s amazing how much I had forgotten until I looked back at those layouts – they triggered so many memories!
I know scrapbooking isn’t for everyone, and that’s why I offer custom scrapbooking. For those people who appreciate the work, the way it’s presented and want that documentation for their families but may not have the time or desire to do it themselves. The layout I am sharing today is another custom layout for one of the albums that I am working on and also one of the layouts I did for this months scrapbook club.
Our product focus this month was VersaMark and just a couple of its uses. We used it with the Bliss stamp set to create a tone on tone background. By the way, the bliss set is only available until March 31st, if you don’t already have it – this is such a versatile set and definitely my favorite SAB set (FREE with a $60 purchase).
Back to VersaMark – we also used it to emboss on the smaller of the two flowers. I am loving this flower die – Fun Flowers from the Occasions Mini. The flowers layer beautifully and the shape of each flower is so pretty. It’s hard to tell from the photo but I also incorporated some of our Springtime Vintage fabric on the layout as well. I love that SU! has come out with fabric in their own colors and patterns. It allows us to work with yet another medium. So much fun experimenting with it!
If you are a scrapbooker or want to try scrapbooking, you are more than welcome to join us at our monthly scrapbook class. Contact me for more information.
Thanks for more stopping by today!
