Good morning, I hope you are having a great week! My kids are off school today as well as next week for spring break. I’m looking forward to not having to make lunches for a whole week!
I have another card that we made at our We CAN Stamp group meeting to share with you today. I love these silhouette owls – they are so cute.
Here are a few tips for this card (you’ll find the supply list at the bottom of the post):
Tip #1: To get the background we inked the Lots of Love letterpress plate with Marina Mist ink by dragging the ink pad across it (you can also use a brayer). Carefully put the Baja Breeze cardstock on top and run it through the Big Shot. It’s important to try to place the cardstock on straight so that your words are straight. Try adding a touch of temporary adhesive to your cutting mat to hold the cardstock so that it doesn’t move.
Tip #2: Glass glitter was added by putting a strip of snail adhesive on the baja cardstock prior to adhering the black cardstock strip. Then leaving a bit of it exposed when you adhere the cardstock strip.
Tip #3: Add a strip of snail down the centre of your black cardstock, find the centre of your seam binding and attach it to the centre of the black strip. Start on one side and just pleat the ribbon, then do the other side. It’s not meant to be perfect.
I hope you enjoyed this project!
