For the next 31 days I’ll be sharing a scrapbooking tip with you each day. I shared these tips on my Facebook page back in May but wanted to go into more detail and share photos. I feel like I can do that better here on my blog.
These 31 Scrapbooking Tips are meant to:
- inspire you to document your stories,
- help you get past a creative block or
- get you thinking outside the box.
Not a scrapbooker? That’s ok – many of these tips can also be used for card makers and I will weave that in where I can.
Maybe it’s been a while since you’ve scrapbooked or paper crafted.
Or maybe you’d like to start scrapbooking or card making.
It can be hard to get back into the groove after taking a break. What works for me is to look through my photos until I find something that gets me excited. It could be a recent trip, a photo of one of my kids that pulls at my heart or jogs my memory about a conversation we had. Whatever it is, start there, because that’s what is peaking your interest.
If you are a card maker and it’s been awhile since you’ve crafted – think about upcoming reasons you’ll need a card. Or look through your stamps or patterned paper and use whatever jumps out at you.
For today’s project I chose a recent photo of my daughter and I when we went to high tea at the Hotel McDonald. I have several other photos from the afternoon but my plan for this one had nothing to do with documenting that afternoon. So I just wanted that one photo. I didn’t need to worry about the other photos that go along with that event.
I hope you decide to follow along with me for the next 31 days! Want to jump ahead? You can find all 31 Scrapbooking Tips in a printable format in this blog post. Print off the list and work along with me. I’d love to see how these tips are inspiring you to get crafty!
Have a creative day,
