I decided to use products from the GORGEOUS new Fitted Florets Collection for my layout today. These new products are absolutely stunning so it wasn’t difficult to come up with a layout idea.
The Background…
I started with a bit of blushing bride ink and the packaging technique for the background. This really softens the stark white layer. Then I used a few of the line art images from the Framed Florets stamp set (with Night of Navy ink) to add a bit more interest. Stamps are so great for this! The final detail was to add a bit of faux stitching using the Stitchery stamp set (on sale until Nov. 18th).
The Details…
I really wanted my journaling to be tucked away on this layout so I pulled out the Mini Pocket Envelope Dies (on sale until Nov. 18th) and some of the beautiful Brushstroke 12″ x 12″ Specialty Paper, to create a pocket. A tag inserted into the pocket was the perfect solution. We don’t carry any Night of Navy ribbon, at the moment, so I used my navy Stampin’ Blends and coloured a piece of the White Crinkled Seam Binding. This was a great way to bring in some navy to the right hand page.
Because my layout is only 4-1/4″ x 8-1/4″ (x2), I decided to use just one 3″ x 4″ photo. However, the photo felt like it needed a little something so I die cut one of the frames from the Framed Florets Dies. The embellishments were easy – just a few fussy cut florals from one of the patterned papers from the Fitted Florets DSP. A few Opal Rounds finished off the layout nicely.
I can’t wait to see the layouts everyone else created for this months hop! Head on over to Julia Quinn’s blog to see what she created.
Don’t forget about the Seasonal Sale (Nov. 15th to 18th) with select products from the 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue on sale. Check out the sale items here.
