Welcome to March’s Scrapbooking Global blog hop. Our theme this month is Mixed Media chosen by this months guest designer Nature Gibner.
If you are a scrapbooker, be sure to join the Scrapbooking Global Stampin’ Up! Facebook group. There’s so much inspiration in that group it’s wonderful.
Mixed media is WAY outside my comfort zone lol. Stampin’ Up! does sell quite a few products that can be used for mixed media – shimmer paint, inks, brusho, our embossing folders. Really almost anything can be used.
I have two layouts to share with you today and both are a bit of stretch to qualify as Mixed Media. But I’m sharing them anyway;)
This first layout is included as part of this hop because I did a water-colour wash as the back ground and then added some splatter with gold shimmer paint mixed with a bit of water.
I created the eggs by using the layering ovals framelits to cut the shape and then added strips of the gingham gala dsp and card stock that I fringed with my scissors. I think my favourite part is the adorable little bunny!
The second layout includes some sponging with our cloud stencil, some shimmer paint splatter and then I did a few things to distress the dsp. The star patterned paper was crumpled and sponged, the polka dot dsp was torn and sponged and the navy dsp (behind the strip of photos) was distressed around the edges with my scissors.
I love a challenge and this whole mixed media theme definitely was that. But I’m really happy with the results.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Be sure to hop through all the blogs where you’ll be inspired by all types of Mixed Media layouts.

Have a creative day!

Easter Layout Shopping List:
Note: I used the Vegas Gold shimmer paint not realizing that it was no longer available. The Champagne Mist will give a similar look just a bit softer. The Organdy Ribbon Pack is sold out and no longer available.

Sherry I think they both have elements of mixed media with texture and design with inks and paper with layers…Thanks for playing along with us on this theme.

Those fringey eggs are such a fun element! And your layers for "sky's the limit" are perfect with your photo collage.
