Welcome to the Scrapbooking Global July 2023 blog hop. Thank you so much for joining us. This months theme is to create a grid pattern layout. I can’t wait to see what everyone created!
As part of the Scrapbooking Global design team we participate in a monthly blog hop and challenges but anyone can join in if they’d like. We’d love to have you join us! Be sure to join the Scrapbooking Global – Stampin’ Up! Facebook Group so you know when the sign up starts for our next hop.
Here’s a little peek at the background I created.
I love a good grid layout. It can be interpreted in so many different ways. I decided to use 9 circles to create my grid.
The details…
I started with the packaging technique to add a bit of colour to the background. Then I got to work cutting circles. I used the largest stylish shapes circle die to cut out the circles from the Delightfully Eclectic DSP. The white ones are intended to be for photos. As I’m writing up this post, I’m out in Hinton, AB crafting with friends and plan to add photos of our week out here to those circles.
I’m a bit obsessed with ledger paper at the moment and there are two ledger patterned papers in the Delightfully Eclectic dsp so I knew I would include it on my layout somewhere and managed to fit it in a couple different areas.
For the centre circle I used the Patchwork Pieces dies to create a fun pinwheel pattern.
Thanks so much for visiting my blog. Hop on over to Sharni’s blog to see what she has created and then continue along for more grid pattern inspiration.
Until next time,

Love the vibrancy of this layout Sherry and that you chose to do a circle grid pattern.
You always create such simple layouts and I am in love with your designs.
Cannot wait to see your layout complete… I miss the weekends away with my Scrapbooking buddies.
Cheers Shaz
Thanks Sharon! It was definitely a fun layout to create and if I’d had my printer with me at the retreat I would have added photos right then and there!
Oh this is just amazing. I love your attention to detail with the trimmer and all the little pieces on your page. I love ledger paper too!! What a fantastic grid – I love it!!
Thank you Julia! The Crafting with You bundle is just so fun, it’s hard to not put in the extra little details to make the tools look just like SU! tools:)
A beautiful page Sherry, such pretty colours and quite elegant. I like how you used circles instead of squares…thinking outside the box! lol
Hope you are enjoying your time away crafting with friends. x
