Welcome to the Scrapbooking Global January 2020 blog hop. This month our theme is new beginnings, which is the perfect theme at this time of the year.
I chose to do a title page from my list of layouts that need to be finished. I talked a little about the list at the beginning of this video. The most recent year that still needed a title page was 2014. So that’s what I chose to do.
I can’t take credit for this layout at all. I scrap lifted the idea from Adrienne Alvis. You can find her layout here.
The patterned paper that I used is the Pleased as Punch DSP that will be available to customers to order beginning February 4th. The colours in this paper are so beautiful but what makes it even better is that it coordinates with 4 punches!
Punches that coordinate with the Pleased as Punch DSP (available to order Feb. 4th):
- Heart Punch Pack (151292)
- Umbrella Builder Punch (151293)
- Tulip Builder Punch (151295) and
- Small Bloom Punch (152316)
To create the heart I simply cut 2 1/2″ squares, cut those diagonally and then pieced it together to create a heart shape. It looks a lot more involved than it actually is. Wondering where the numbers and the ‘fresh start’ are from? They are from past Paper Pumpkin kits! Paper Pumpkin subscriptions aren’t just for card makers, I use the contents of the kits more for scrapbooking than cards.
This will be one of the 4 layouts we create using this dsp pack at my February layout of the month class. I’m so excited about this class because the dsp is so pretty! You can find all the information on my events page.

I have never seen this type of layout before, I like what you did with it. I used to make layouts with my Paper Pumpkin kits, too. So fun to get creative with them.
