Welcome to the Scrapbooking Global February 2020 blog hop. This month our theme is a sketch challenge. I LOVE a good sketch and Sharon picked a great one for this month.
Since the release of the Little Ladybug stamp set, I have wanted to scrapbook this sweet photo I have of my daughter watching a ladybug that had landed on her years ago. This sketch was the perfect opportunity.
The Little Ladybug stamp set is a set that can only be earned by hosting (or placing) a qualifying order of $375 or more during Sale-a-Bration. AND I’m super excited that you can now purchase coordinating dies for this sweet set.
I loved the look of inking/splattering/stamping behind the photo in the sketch. Because I was using two different patterned papers I used some white gesso that I rubbed onto the dsp with my finger to make it a bit softer behind the photo. I then splattered with some black ink. This was my first attempt at this type of technique and I LOVE how it turned out. I will definitely be playing around with this.
The flowers and the lady bugs are all coloured in using Stampin’ Blends. I just love how vibrant the images are.
The Golden Honey Specialty dsp is one of the products that you can earn for free with a $60 purchase until the end of March (or while supplies last). The gold foil in this dsp is stunning. This will also be the dsp that we focus on in March’s layout of the month class. You can find more information on that here.
