Welcome to the Scrapbooking Global August 2023 blog hop. Thank you so much for joining us. This months challenge was to use the sketch below as our inspiration. I love a good sketch and this one was GREAT. I can’t wait to see what everyone created!
As part of the Scrapbooking Global design team we participate in a monthly blog hop and challenges but anyone can join in if they’d like. We’d love to have you join us! Be sure to join the Scrapbooking Global – Stampin’ Up! Facebook Group so you know when the sign up starts for our next hop.
The Details…
One of the things I loved about this layout was the strip down the center with a few stamped elements on either side. So I kept those details on my layout but did make a few alterations to the sketch to make it work for my single 4″ x 6″ photo.
It’s been awhile since I created a layout with so much stamping on it and love how it turned out. The Gorgeously Made stamp set is such a great one for adding layers to a background. And the colours of this dsp worked perfectly to bring in the green of the trees and the peacock coloured water. It was like it was made for this photo. I can’t wait to create the facing page with the other photos I took.
I don’t normally include measurements for scrapbook layouts but I know some crafters like to recreate layouts they see online so here are the measurements so you don’t need to figure them out:)
Measurements:
- Fresh as a Daisy DSP: 12″ x 12″ (cut out the middle – I left a 1″ border) and 1/2″ x 10″ strip; 2″ x 6″ cut with the torn edge border die from the Gorgeously Made dies; 3″ x 3-1/2″ cut with the torn notebook border from the same die set
- Basic Black: 11-1/2″ x 11-1/2″ and 1/2″ x 10-1/2″ strip and scraps for title
- Basic White: 11-1/4″ x 11-1/4″ and 2″ x 3-1/2″ for cutting the tag and scrap for stamping
Check out the video below to see how this layout came together.
