Good morning! Well it’s the last couple days before we are back to school. I’m really not looking forward to early mornings, making lunches and back to practices. I love Christmas break for many reasons and one of them is the break from the craziness in our lives. With the return of school comes volleyball and curling which together take up 4 to 5 nights a week and that’s not counting a tournament weekend which will start towards the end of January. I just want to crawl back into bed thinking about it.
Anyway, this year I really want to get back into scrapbooking. Last year I did a little but not as much as I would have liked. So this year, I’m going to try to do a scrapbook saturday feature where every Saturday I post something scrappy! It may not always be a layout, it could be a mini album or even just a fun way to document photos. So today I have a layout to share that I did at the weekend retreat I went to back in November. I was inspired by a layout that Soraya Smith did using the hexagon punch and so created my own version of it and I LOVE how it turned out! This is one of my favorite layouts I’ve ever done and it is sooo simple – the hexagon punch does all the work.
If you’ve got space on your photo, it’s a great place to add a title. I used the ‘love’ from the expressions thinlits (which are no longer available) to cut the main word and then bits and pieces to create the rest of the title. A full list of supplies is below.
Have a creative day!
