Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! One of the things I had on my list to do at my retreat in March was create something using all these Brusho scraps. I have been playing lots with Brusho and experimenting with different ways to use it. I have so many of these little scraps! I didn’t want to throw them out because they are so pretty.
I was inspired by a layout I had seen online – I think it was on Facebook. She had cut a bunch of circles in various sizes to create a great background. I decided to do the same. So I took my circle framelits and just started cutting. I had no idea what I was going to do with them. I started playing around with the positioning and came up with this.
It really looked like planets which is why the title. These photos were taken when we were out for dinner to celebrate my birthday.
I’m not sure where the little stars came from. I borrowed someone’s stamp set from the retreat and it wasn’t a Stampin’ Up! set. Neither was this smaller alphabet set. But the numbers and the letters for the word ‘world’ are both from SU!
I’m really loving the white backgrounds and then adding a free hand drawn border around the edges to bring everything together. I’ve been doing that on a lot of my layouts lately.
I love that I was able to put all these Brusho samples to use!
If you are interested in playing with Brusho, I’d love for you to join me in my upcoming Bring on the Brusho class! Here are all the details:
