I posted on Facebook this morning that I felt like I had a creative hangover. After doing pretty much nothing but crafting for 5 days I’m going through withdrawals. And what’s with having to make my own meals?! It was a bit of a shock today lol.
It was a great extended weekend, we had lots of fun and accomplished lots on the to do list! I thought I’d share a few photos from the weekend.
Here’s the car all packed and ready to go. I think we had a smaller load going out there for 5 days than we have for 3 or 4 in the past. We’re getting more efficient.
Mom and I always arrive about an hour before anyone else so that we can set everything up. I love how the welcome gifts turned out this year. I couldn’t find any cute bags to use so I ended up using these cute little take out containers. I just added some dimensionals, mini glue dots and a cute pencil – things you can never have enough of!
All set up an ready to go! First project on the list was to stamp a bunch of these bunnies, color them in and cut them out.
Christina brought her heat press and was making the cutest onesies and tee shirts.
These were the ones she made for St. Paddy’s Day. She had some really cute ones. And even gave us a little lesson on how it’s done.
We were fed REALLY well all weekend but still needed some snacks. Maybe a few too many! But you never know when you’ll get the munchies.
Here’s a photo of everyone at work. I always like to keep track of what I create over the course of the weekend – it makes me feel like I’ve accomplished lots. Here’s my list for this time around.
- 20 cards (an assortment of congrats and thank you)
- 35 treat holders
- Completed my December Daily (flip through to come later this week)
- 10 scrapbook layouts
- 24 bunnies, colored and fussy cut that were added to one of the pillow gifts (to be shared next week)
- A start on my On Stage team gifts – all are cut and assembled they just need to be decorated.
My list doesn’t seem to be as long as past weekends but i did a lot more scrapbooking than I normally do and that always takes longer. One attendee finished 45 layouts!! AMAZING. She was super organized though – she had all her photos, paper and embellishments in a pocket for each layout so she did a lot of prep work ahead of time in order to accomplish so much.
I still have a few spots available for my March 2019 retreat out at Bittern Lake (March 15th to 17th) and a few spots left in my May 4th to 6th local retreat. If you’d like to join me at either of these, let me know.
Have a creative day!
Sherry
