Today I’m sharing a retirement card. I don’t make too many of these but needed one because our Canadian DDM is retiring and I wanted to give him a card to wish him well.
Because I don’t make many retirement cards, I had to really look for a greeting that would work. Thankfully there is a retirement greeting in the Paradise Palms set so I decided to combine it with the big Woo Hoo from the Amazing Phrasing that you can earn for free with a qualifying purchase during Sale-a-Bration.
The details…
I thought the Woo Hoo would look great stamped multiple times, gradually getting darker. So I used my Stamparatus and the hinge technique and chose colours that would work to give me that ombre look I was going for. The colours are Pool Party (stamped off); Pool Party (full strength); Coastal Cabana; Bermuda Bay and Shaded Spruce. Those were stamped onto a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of white card stock. After stamping I tore along the right side.
I then added a 1″ x 5-1/4″ strip of patterned paper from the Celebrate Everything DSP pack to the right side of a 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ piece of pool party card stock. And popped up the white Woo Hoo layer using dimensionals. The card still needed something so I decided to go with a silhouette palm tree and die cut greeting with a bit of twine behind.
I love how fun this card turned out! I’ve included a full supply list below, if you live in Canada, would like any supplies and don’t already have a demonstrator, I’d love for you to shop with me.
Until next time,
