In this post I’m sharing this fun pocket card and coordinating envelope using Stampin’ Up!’s® Painterly Pears suite. This suite is a stunning collection with a vintage vibe to it.
We learned how to make a card & envelope similar to these at a recent event for Stampin’ Up!® demonstrators. The envelope is the same but I tweaked the card to include a pocket on the inside to hold a tag or gift card. To see what it looks like inside and how it all comes together, check out this video.
Measurements:
- Pattern Paper: 4″ x 12″ scored at 2″ and 7-1/2″
- Basic White: 3-1/2″ x 5-1/4″; 2″ x 4″ for die cutting label shape and scrap for greeting
- Mossy Meadow: 2-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ for die cutting label shape; scrap for leaves
- Petal Pink: 2″ x 2″ for die cutting tiny flowers
- Petal Pink Scallop Ribbon: 4″
Envelope
I love being able to make coordinating envelopes. This is a great way to use up that pile of pattern paper that we paper crafters all seem to have so much of!
Years ago Stampin’ Up!® carried an envelope punch board that I loved. I actually still have it and use it on occasion. However, I found that it used a lot of pattern paper. This template uses just enough to make the envelope without a bunch of overlap.
Instructions:
- Cut pattern paper to 6-3/4″ x 9-1/4″. Score at 1/2″ from both long edges and 3″ and 7-1/4″ from one short edge
- Fold along all the score lines.
- Cut off the 1/2″ flaps on the top and bottom sections. See the video linked below for tips on doing this.
- Assemble envelope using multipurpose glue or tear & tape.
Here’s a video that walks you through creating both the card & envelope.
