Hope you are having a great week! I spent yesterday shopping with my Mom and Jordyn, which ended up being really fun. Don’t get me wrong – my Mom and I LOVE to shop, as a matter of fact, when we go away for SU! trips, we make sure we fly in a day early so that we can get some shopping done. Jordyn on the other hand HATES to shop and won’t let me pick out her clothes for her. She desperately needed shorts and t-shirts so we had to go. In the end she really got into it and it ended up being a great day for the three of us. I don’t think she’ll be jumping at the opportunity to go again anytime soon but she has enough to last the summer now.
On to todays project – this was inspired by a card I saw on our demonstrator website but I made a few changes, well really only one, to make it my own. It uses the Papaya Collage stamp set and some of the new in colours (raspberry ripple, gumball green and midnight muse).
Notice the subtle detail on the bottom of the white cardstock? I used my simply scored tool and scored every 1/8″ to create that. It adds so much to the card but yet is so simple! The other thing that I used is my favourite framelits set – Apothecary Accents – I love these little things and have used them soooo much!
Here’s a look at the images in the stamp set:
To create the border, I inked up one short side of the frame image and stamped it twice with it meeting up in the middle. The accent covers over the joint so it doesn’t really matter what it looks like. The long side was just a tad bit too short so that’s why I chose to do it that way.
Have a great day! I will be back with another card using the same set tomorrow.
