One Sheet Wonder Mini Album

Today I’m sharing a little twist on a one sheet wonder. Instead of making cards, we’ll be making a mini album from one sheet of 12″ x 12″ pattern paper! So grab a pretty two sided piece of pattern paper from your stash and come make one with me!

The first thing we’ll do is cut out pattern paper in half so that you have two pieces of 12″ x 6″ pattern paper. If you’re paper is directional, you want to the 12″ length to be across the top (side to side). Then we are going to score one of the pieces at 2″ , 5-1/2″ and 9″ and the other one at 2″ , 7″ and 10″.

Additional Pieces:

• Basic White: 1-1/2″ x 2″ and 2″ x 2″ for die cutting postage shapes; 3″ x 5-1/4″ (for tag); 2-1/2″ x 4″ (x2) for tuck ins
• Fresh Freesia: 1/2″ x 6″
• Secret Sea: 1/8″ x 6″; 2-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ cut with largest square postage die; 3-1/4″ x 4-1/4″; 4-1/4″ x 5-1/4″ and 2-1/8″ x 4-1/4″ for photo mats
• Garden Green: scrap for die cutting leaf and 3″ x 4-1/2″ (x2) for tuck ins
• Darling Duckling: 2-1/2″ x 4″ for tuck in
• Bubble Bath: 2″ x 2″ for die cutting flower
• Cloud Cover: 2″ x 2″ for die cutting postage shape
• Vellum: 2″ x 6″
• Lace: 6″
• Coordinating Ribbon and Twine
• DSP: scraps for punching a circle, die cutting a tuck in and fussy cutting images

Here’s a closer look…

The first layer has a side pocket and a top pocket that holds the tag shown in the photo above. I added a bit of lace to the edge for a bit of added texture and to separate the two busy pattern pieces.

The postage shapes were cut using one of the sets of dies that came in the crafting advent calendar. And the flower and leaf are from the Charming Day dies.

The next page reveals another pocket on the right, which opens out to the right – you’ll see that in the next photo. I found everything to be very busy here so I added a narrow strip of vellum to the left panel and then layered a couple more of the postage die shapes. The flower and leaves were fussy cut from another piece of the pattern paper from the Florals in Bloom pack.

If you didn’t want to add photos, these place holders can be for journaling.

When you open the last flap there’s a pocket on the left and then a couple areas for photos.

I love the simplicity of this album, that it uses an entire sheet of pattern paper and that you can use anything in your stash to create it!
