Good morning! I have a color blocking layout to share with you today. Color blocking has been around for a long time and is basically just placing photos and cardstock or dsp in a geometrical pattern. It really is a simple form of scrapbooking – great for beginners but also long time scrapbookers. I find I turn to this type of layout if I’m in a hurry and want to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time.
Last month, we had just returned from Hawaii, I ended up getting sick and had scrapbook club that same week. So this was the style of scrapbooking I turned to. I must admit it’s not my favorite but we can’t love every page we create – otherwise we’d never get anything done!
To add a bit of detail to the page, I used my Project Life pen to add some faux stitching around each block of dsp. Other than that it’s photos, dsp and journaling – back to the basics!
Thanks for making my blog a part of your day!
