Because of the release of the Holiday Catalogue retiring list yesterday, my Memory Keeping Monday post is a day late. I didn’t want to skip it because it’s really helping me work towards catching up on this years album. Today’s layouts are using our Project Life product line and really keeping things simple. I have so many photos from our trip to Hawaii back in May that I want to include in the album that the key to getting this done is simplicity.
One of the Stampin’ Up! events was a trip to the Polynesian Cultural Centre, which was open to just incentive trip earners and their guests. It was so nice to have the place to ourselves. One of my favorite things to do in pocket pages is to have things floating in the pockets like the upper left pocket with the title. I cut the title from the brochure I kept from the centre and mounted it onto a few different layers and then mounted those onto a 4×6 window sheet. So it appears to be floating but doesn’t move around. Love it.
As far as journaling goes – again to keep it simple, I told the story of the show that was presented to us. I copied it right from the brochure. Quick & easy and it’s documented!
On the back of this page are the first few photos of our trip to the USS Missouri. Again keeping it really simple.
Have you tried documenting using Project Life and/or pocket pages? It really is a more realistic way to get your life documented and it’s so fun to look back and enjoy those photos.
