Wow this weekend went by in a whirlwind. I was hoping to get this post done yesterday but it ended up being a much longer day than expected. We were in Red Deer for Jordyn’s first beach volleyball tournament. Because her and her partner had never played before we weren’t anticipating a very long day but they placed 2nd out of 13 teams! I am so proud of them. It was a LONG day – up at 5:30 and arrived home at 7:30 – 8 games later! I was exhausted and I wasn’t the one playing!
Anyway, on to today’s project… I don’t know if you ever visit Aly Edwards’ blog – she has some FABULOUS ideas for projects. This summer I thought I would do a version of her Summer Manifesto – using MDS of course. I switched things up a little – mine is called ‘Our Summer Story’ and will include things that each of us want to do over the summer. I thought this would be a great way to record the happenings over the summer. Some of them may also warrant a larger layout and others will just be reflected in this album.
The album will be 6″x6″ and I’ve done the preliminary work in MDS. It’s not going to look like much right now but I will show you more once I get my prints back.
I used a 12″x12″ page and then added 6×6 punches or photo boxes so create each album page. This page includes the cover , a journaling page, the inside front cover and the back cover.
This next page is the inside back cover, the first page and then the first two page spread. So on the page with the ‘one’ I will write what it was that we wanted to accomplish (and whose idea it was) and then add a photo and journaling to the white page.
I’m looking forward to trying this out – I think it’ll be a great way to reflect on our summer.
As mentioned above, I will share more with you in a couple weeks.
