Make a Memory Scrapbook Layout

For this weeks memory keeping Monday blog post I’m sharing another Make a Memory scrapbook layout. This layout was created using the contents of Stampin’ Up!’s® Make a Memory Scrapbook Kit.

The kit contains so much product, you can create so much with it. This is the 4th 2-page 12×12 layout that I’ve created and still have so much left! You can see one of the other layouts I shared using the kit in this blog post. The rest I’ll be sharing with attendees of my upcoming class.

One of the things I love about this kit is that the pattern papers aren’t themed. They can be used to document any photos, which makes the kit so versatile.

For this 2-page spread I’ve used some of the blue & pink pattern paper pieces and 4×6 cards. The 12×12 pattern papers make for great backgrounds for scrapbook layouts but if you add in some white card stock and cut some of those papers apart, you can stretch the kit even more.

The kit includes lots of little die cut pieces and stickers to embellish your layouts. This allows everything to come together so quickly. The only product I used, that wasn’t included in the kit was a sheet of white 12×12, some pretty peacock card stock and a piece of white baker’s twine. Otherwise everything was included.

Summer Sketch Series

As part of my summer sketch series, I wanted to also share how I was inspired to create the left page of the layout above. It was inspired by this layout on Instagram. I will often sketch out a layout that I like to use in the future.

Your sketch doesn’t have to be anything fancy. Don’t worry about straight lines or specific details. Just roughly sketch out the layout. If there’s something you really like, you could add notes to it but I like to keep it simple. Plus then when I go to create my layout, I can make it more my own without the influence of the original layout.
