In today’s blog post I’m sharing several Lovely Lavender Paper Pumpkin alternatives. I challenged myself to use as much of the kit as I could in the time I had to dedicate to it on Sunday afternoon. These are the projects that I created.
Before I got started I tried to figure out what types of cards I’d need in February so that I could put these to use. I always need lots of thank you cards so I turned them all into thank you cards. However, the greetings on all of them could be easily changed for other occasions. I also managed to find a couple more photos that would work well with this kit so created another scrapbook layout.
If you missed the layout I created live last week, you can find it here.
Let’s Take a Look…
The first thing I did was add the tags to a card. The crumb cake polka dot piece is one of the card bases from the kit. I just cut it down to two 3-3/4″ x 5″ pieces and added it to a white card base. The leaves were cut from some garden green card stock using the coordinating die set (The Love of Spring dies).
After popping out the tag, I knew that I wanted to make shaker card with the leftover piece. So I grabbed a window sheet and cut it down to fit and added some foam adhesive strips to the back. The shaker content is the Loose Silver Sequins.
I’ve been wanting to play with the Adoring Hearts die for awhile so I pulled that out and created these fun heart strips where I turned the centre heart into a shaker. This piece was cut from another card front. I could get both of them out of one card front.
Then of course I had to do something with all those hearts! This is what I came up with. The white panel was embossed using the Softly Sophisticated folder (free with a qualifying purchase until February 29th).
For the last card I added in some of the coordinating Perennial Lavender pattern paper and created this simple square card.
Here’s the second layout I created using bits & pieces from the kit and adding in some of the coordinating pattern paper.
What I have left…
And then I ran out of time. But this was all I had left of the kit. I’m pretty happy with that! I’ll add the ‘love’ die cut pieces to the kit I have set aside to document my daughters wedding photos and the rest will go into my scraps.
Although the Lovely Lavender kit isn’t available to purchase anymore, if you are a Paper Pumpkin subscriber, you can still purchase a refill kit. It includes all the consumables (no stamps or ink spot). If you aren’t yet a subscriber, and live in Canada, you can subscribe here. Or purchase a prepaid subscription here.
Until next time,
