Have you got the new Scallop Trim Corner punch (118870) from the Occasions Mini yet? I love this punch and that it coordinates with the Scallop Trim Border punch (118402) that you can get for FREE in the Sale-A-Bration mini.
I was recently asked to create some cards for a client, she needed a mixture of masculine and feminine cards. This was one of the masculine designs I came up with. I used the scallop trim corner punch to create that little square that works perfectly with our two square punches. To create this little piece, you simply start with a 1-15/16″ square, that’s one tick before the 2″ mark. Then just use your corner punch on all four corners! Just remember with this punch you don’t want to push it in all the way, you need to line it up with the little ledges.
Did you know that you can use the two punches (border and corner) to create lovely borders? If you check out Gretchen Barron’s blog, she has a wonderful tutorial on how to use the two together to create various sized scallop squares and rectangles. Be sure to check it out!
Thanks for stopping by,
Sherry
