I know we all have more than enough patterned paper! Many of us like to hoard it for just the right project. I know I’m like that with some patterns. But there are always fresh new patterns that are released that we add to our wish lists. At this time of the year (catalogue transition time), I like to go through and use up some of the papers that are retiring. So this month at stamp clubs we used up some of the retired 2012-2014 in color papers from the stack. Note: the pattern that is shown in the photo is from last years paper stack but you can still get them in fresh new prints from this year.
We cut a 12×12 piece down to 8×8 and then created an envelope using the envelope punch board (without sealing the flaps). The belly band slides off to reveal…
Such a fun and simple design. And the stamp set Another Great Year finishes it off nicely – this card design would make great masculine cards – just switch up the colors and you are set.
You are left with a couple strips of patterned paper which you can then cut down to 4″x5-1/4″ and create 3 of these cards…
Another great masculine card design – if it wasn’t done with Primrose Petals.
I hope that this inspires you to pull out some of your patterned paper and create something beautiful! Have a creative day!
