For those of you who may not know, we are actually in the Caribbean right now – thank you Stampin’ Up! Have I mentioned I love my job?! Well actually we aren’t there right now because I’m typing this on Friday night – we leave very early in the morning. But since you are reading this almost a week later – I guess we are.
Anyway, one of the things that both kids were assigned as homework while away is to write a journal. So I decided at the last minute that they needed a little travel journal. I had to give myself a time limit, otherwise I would just spend WAY to much time and really go overboard. So I alloted 1 hour to complete two journals. BTW – I spent WAY more time on mine – which I will show you when I get back.
This is what I came up with – and really the dsp does all the work. This is some of the new Travel Journal dsp that is in the Summer Mini – available May 1st. I cut it to 5-1/2″x8-1/2″ and folded in half. I did the same with all the inside pages, but used coordinating cardstock instead of the dsp. I decided to add an envelope at the back so that they could add some little keepsakes. Then I bound it using my Zutter machine.
