Happy Saturday to you! Hope you have lots of great plans this weekend! Today I have a hybrid project for you. This is Eathan’s birthday invitation. I needed something quick and easy and MDS is definitely the answer to that. Because I didn’t plan far enough ahead to have them printed I just printed them from home and then created a hybrid card.
To create them I opened a new document – 8-1/2×11 blank page. I changed the background colour to tempting turquoise. Then used elements from the Big Top Birthday Embellishments and the cloud punch to create the card fronts being careful not to extend past the 4-1/4″ and 5-1/2″ mark so that I could easily cut them down. After printing, I cut it down to 3-3/4″x5″, added it to a 4″x5-1/4″ red mat and then that onto a white card base. To add a bit of dimension I cut out some white clouds, sponged the edges and then popped them up using dimensionals and added a couple punched stars.
If you don’t have a lot of time but love to create, the MDS program is a great solution. Creating in My Digital Studio is so quick and easy and I especially love the option to create hybrid projects. One thing I like about traditional paper crafting is the dimension and by combining the two you get the best of both worlds. If you’d like to learn how to make projects like these and so much more using the My Digital Studio program, check out the MDS club option here.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
