Hope you had a wonderful weekend! Sorry for the lack of posting over the last little while, we made a trip to Penticton for a soccer tournament/holiday. The weather was beautiful and the soccer team returned with a gold medal! My kids, especially Jordyn, love the water so they definitely got their fill of both beach time and pool time.
Although we returned home last Thursday, it’s been go, go, go since we’ve returned. I had stamp club on Thursday and Saturday and then had a team shoe box swap on Friday. It’s good to get right back into working!
I love shoe box swaps, it’s just so fun to play with different stamp sets, learn different techniques and just try things that we haven’t tried before. So I thought I would share the projects from our team shoe box swap over the next couple weeks.
With that in mind, the first project I’m sharing was done by Tracey Frith. There are so many things I love about this project. A couple things I haven’t tried before on here as well. First and I think most obviously is the origami butterfly. Soooo cute! The other thing that Tracey did, which is hard to tell from the photo is that the En Francais stamped portion is embossed using a mixture of white and tangerine embossing powder. It looks so cool. I never would have thought to mix the two. Another thing I don’t think I would have tried is the colour combination – tangerine tango, early espresso, marina mist and old olive. I love them!
Thanks Tracey for sharing this with us, sorry you couldn’t be there to enjoy making the projects but we were so happy that you participated, we all LOVED your card.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Sherry
