Today I’m sharing a simple Frosted Gingerbread layout with you. This layout was inspired by a card that I created for the Scrapbooking Carnival that I’m participating in this weekend, at Millennium Place.
I am often inspired to create a layout from a card that I see or design. I’ll be sharing the card in Fridays blog post so be sure to stop by and check it out:)
The Details
- I used the adorning masks and a sponge dauber to create the simple olive pattern at the bottom of the layout.
- The mittens and the star are cut right from the Gingerbread & Peppermint DSP.
- I added a few red rhinestones to the centre of the mittens and points on the star. Bling is always a smart choice:)
- The red dsp that I tucked under the diagonal stripe pattern is torn and adds a bit of texture to the layout.
Tip: to get your 6″ x 6″ dsp to stretch across the page, strategically add your photos or embellishment cluster over top of the seam.
I chose to leave the title off until I decide what photos will go onto the layout. This leaves the possibilities quite open. Once I’ve chosen the photos, I will add a title. It will likely go just above the smaller photo.
I’ve been having so much fun with this suite of products. If you’re looking to be inspired to create with the Gingerbread & Peppermint suite be sure to check out these upcoming events.
