Today I’m sharing this Fitting Florets gift idea. Every year I try to create a few gifts for family members. Todays project is one of this years gifts. I absolutely love how it turned out.
The project is something that you can hang on your wall but as I was doing my live, I realized that you could make it a bit differently if you didn’t want to hang it. Check out the video replay to see the idea. And if you are a card maker, the top and bottom square could definitely be converted to a card.
The base of each one of these squares is a 5″ x 5″ piece of balsa wood that I found at Michaels. They came in a package of 16 and were pretty inexpensive. These three patterned papers from the Fitting Florets DSP pack look so good together. It’s my favourite combination of patterns.
For this first square, I used one of the oval frames from the Framed Florets dies, embossed my greeting in gold, and added a bit of gold glimmer and dsp in behind. To finish it off I used the white Pearlized Enamel Effects on a Textured Element. Simple but beautiful!
The second square is meant to hold two 2″ x 3″ photos. I decided to keep it simple and just fussy cut a couple of the flowers and popped them up.
For the final square, I die cut another frame and embossed some of the floral images and the word Noel. I love that the floral images can look Christmasy when they are embossed. A leaf die cut from gold and a couple more die cut from vellum finishes it off.
To attach the three panels together I used my Crop-a-Dile and some of the Evening Evergreen ribbon. This is going to make the perfect addition to some of our holiday decor.
If you love this collection of products, don’t miss out on the Framed Florets class to go.
Until next time,
