I pulled out these adorable photos of my husband and son the other day when I sat down to scrapbook. I knew immediately that I wanted to do a fun father & son scrapbook layout. The From My Heart dsp was sitting on my desk so I thought it would be a great opportunity to use it to create something for the boys.
Just adding the green card stock and black accents makes this layout feel a bit more neutral even though it includes some flirty flamingo on it. Who says you can’t use pink for boys?!
The layout needed a bit more detail in the background but I was looking for something subtle. Stamping hearts would have been too much and not quite the look I was going for. Whenever I’m looking for a subtle background I consider doing some paper piercing. So I pulled out the Be Mine Stitched dies and used one of the larger hearts as a stencil to add some paper pierced hearts. I love doing this technique. The same technique was used in this layout, except using our star dies.
I love the Heartfelt punch bundle. It can be used for so much more than just Valentine’s Day!
Have a creative day!
